The Yoko Miwa Trio will be one of 60 featured performers in the East Coast Jazz Festival which will take place on Saturday, March 20 from 5 to 11 p.m. ET. Six jazz clubs on the East Coast have come together to create what they’re calling the East Coast Jazz Festival: Scullers Jazz Club in Boston, Smalls and Birdland in New York, Chris’ Jazz Café in Philadelphia, Keystone Korner in Baltimore, and Blues Alley in Washington, D.C. will present a combination of virtual live sets and pre-recorded sessions in a veritable jazz telethon with more than 60 notable jazz artists. The cost of the event is, as they call it, “pay as you wish,” and guests can flip back and forth from one venue to another to check out each club’s shows.
The Yoko Miwa Trio will presented by Blues Alley in Washington, D.C. in partnership with the Japanese Embassy in celebration of the annual Cherry Blossom Festival and will be featuring music from their latest release “Songs of Joy”, we hope you will join us for our first performance of 2021.
Also, keep an eye out for postponed concerts at the West Stockbridge Jazz Series (West Stockbridge, MA) and Dizzy’s (NYC) to be rescheduled!
