Yoko Miwa Trio Celebrates Ahmad Jamal – Two Special Nights in Dallas

I’m excited to share that the Yoko Miwa Trio will be making a special appearance in Dallas, Texas for two evenings of music celebrating one of my greatest inspirations, the legendary pianist Ahmad Jamal.

For these performances, Will Slater, Scott Goulding, and I will explore music associated with Jamal’s remarkable legacy, along with selections that reflect the profound influence his artistry has had on my own musical journey. Few pianists have shaped the language of jazz as deeply as Ahmad Jamal, whose masterful use of space, dynamics, and orchestration continues to inspire musicians around the world.
