2017: Yoko’s Year In Review
Happy New Year, friends!
Hope you’ve been enjoying your holidays. As we get ready to ring in the new year, we’re happy to have so many happy moments to look back on in 2017.
We’re so excited that our new CD Pathways reached #6 nationwide on the Jazzweek radio charts and stayed in the top 10 for 4 weeks! Also nice to be featured in Downbeat magazine and be nominated in two categories for the Boston Music Awards (Jazz Artist of the Year and International Artist of the Year).
We always love meeting jazz fans and had many opportunities to play for you at our annual shows at the Regattabar and Scullers Jazz Club, Boston residencies at Thelonious Monkfish, Les Zygomates, and Ryles, as well as farther afield playing shows at the Blue Note NYC, the Poli Club in CT, and the DC Jazz Festival Annual Trustee Reception at the Japanese Embassy in Washington DC. The accolades are nice but sharing our music with all of you is our favorite part of all the work we do. Thank you for coming out to our shows, buying our album, and sending us messages!
