On The Road: Yoko In Florida With Jazz At Lincoln Center

From Yoko: “I had a blast playing with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Jazz Academy Band last week in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This was the most geographically diverse Jazz Academy Band to date, as they drew people from NYC, Boston, Indianapolis, Toronto, and Tampa. We performed and presented a workshop for the National Urban League’s Youth Summit. I can’t tell you how much fun I had! There was such a great vibe in the band on and off the stage and I got such great energy and spirit from the 600 students at the workshop! Thank you to Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Jazz Academy, Seton Hawkins, Dr. Dara Byrne, Todd Williams, LaFrae Sci, Jazzmeia Horn, and Fred Hunter. Looking forward to working together again!”
