Christmas With Yoko #3: White Christmas
Every week this month we’ll post an exclusive video of Yoko performing a Christmas carol. Here’s Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas,” performed live between sets at Thelonious Monkfish. Enjoy!

My favorite of your Christmas series so far. Pure class. You must be in heaven playing on that piano. You were right, that piano is impressive.
Thank you John, yeah that piano is pretty nice 🙂
Man, you never cease to amaze me by what you can do with a song–the harmonic extensions/elaborations or whatever you want to call them. You just rework a song so much and make it your own but still let it keep its own identity. You can inject blues into “O Christmas Tree” with that deep swing or take “White Christmas” to very new places while staying quite faithful to the melody. Yeah, I know it is what master musicians like you are supposed to do, but you have that ability to make it all seem so inevitable, so natural. Thanks so much for posting these, and hope you find holiday brightness, too.
Thank you so much Scott! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your kind words 🙂
Happy Holidays to you too!!!
