Music Is The Healing Force Of The Universe

Music Is The Healing Force Of The Universe

Sometimes, when the world seems to be at its worst, it’s important to remember that music exists, and that its power and beauty can be a place of solace and a source of joy.

“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.” — Bob Marley

“Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.” — Victor Hugo

“Music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and curl my back to loneliness.” — Maya Angelou

(Note: The title of this post is taken from an album by Albert Ayler.)

Yes, so true. Well some music like classical and jazz and a few others. I’m not sure how much Heavy Metal like Mettalica would constitute as solace, comfort and joy. ; )

I know but I like any music where the musicians are enjoying themselves even if I don’t like the style of music. I can still pick up on the higher communication going on between the musicians.

Having lived many years and loved so much music live and recorded, I surprised myself when asked “which music do I like”? I answered all music. However, live jazz is tops and you have given my family great joy and solace. Forever grateful for your artistry and sharing your joy.

Thank you so much for the kind words Jeff! I feel there’s a vital connection between life and music which science can’t prove but some of us are already highly aware of…

  3. “Only love can break your heart” is one of my favorite songs. This song of you makes me think that only love can also put the pieces back. Thank you for that. Great music!

Yoko – thank you so much for sharing. If anything is true in this world, music is. When it comes from the heart, it is Truth. When it sings to your own heart, it is Truth to you. When your heart is sung to, it heals the soul.
