Wow, that’s beautiful. What is the title of that number?
I had an old friend pass away a couple of weeks ago and while you were playing- that number made me think of her. First time, I was able to smile and think about her since she passed. Really pretty.
It’s titled “Casa Pre-fabricada”. Maria Rita singing this song is my inspiration to play it in my trio. She is the daughter of one of my favorites – the legendary Brazilian singer Elis Regina.
Every time I watch one of these videos, I can envision being there. Looking forward to seeing you at Thelonious Monkfish often in 2017!
