We wanted to catch your show, but had tickets to Moulin Rouge that night. See you again at Les Zygomates.

Hi Yoko, this was the first time hearing you- what a great set it was! You have a really nice, solid, style:) Also you’re now on my list list of top ‘piano monsters’-(an honorary term!) I’ve seen in the last 40 years- I’ve seen quite a few of old and new, mostly in NYC:) It was a really nice mix of originals and classic tunes. The tribute to BG was beautiful. You and the rest of the trio had great rapport:) I’m looking forward to your next NYC gig!
Thank you also for signing your new CD for me! Wonderful album! I listen to it often:)

    Greetings,
Sorry to be off topic here, On your website, it says to let you know if we have interest in seeing you perform in our city. Would you consider coming to the Denver area? (Dazzle Jazz being are main venue, but there are others) Ski resorts also have festivals in the summer though I worry one could get lost in some of them. Sorry, I don’t know how practical this suggestion is, or how I could help. I wish I was just a little wealthier to be able to buy you and your band plane tickets !

Thank you for the message, these kind of recommendations are never off topic that’s why it’s mentioned on my website. I would love to come to Colorado to perform and I’m aware of Dazzle. I appreciate your wish of being able to just buy us plane tickets but even so having the booking connections are just as important. I recently signed a worldwide management contract and have a worldwide booking agent, if you know of anyone who might be interested in having my trio come to perform please let me know or have them contact my agent Stephan Gehrig at stephan@sgentnation.com and he might be able to make it happen, hope to see you in Colorado at some point. Thanks! -Yoko

Thank you very much for your reply. I will do two things.

    (1) contact Stephan Gehrig and ask about your group’s terms. Hopeful he will respond–after all, I am not a pro; or if you have a term sheet prepared that includes the situation for clubs, festivals, and private engagements you could just email me (presumably you have the address in this form I filled out) -please do.

    (2) If/when I see Dazzle’s owner next time, I will ask him about having you perform there. He is actually serving and bussing Sunday Jazz Brunch at his business himself sometimes, and is pretty approachable. I have asked him in the past about bringing in certain performers. Although he hires someone else to do the booking, he was pretty up front with his opinion about whether the economics of the situation work out (venue too big, to small).

Ok. Thank you for all you do in the artistry you bring to life.
