    Yoko,

Thank you so much for the beautiful recordings of bye bye blackbird and cinema paradise and auld ange syne.

Cindy my spouse and I met you briefly at les zygomates on an evening when a charming couple, perhaps from Kobe, interrupted you for a photo.

Just wondering if you are influenced by Bill Evans. The Jarrett recording reminded me of Evans’ almost 11 min “Danny Boy” on Time Remembered.

Hope to hear you soon and best wishes for 2016.
    Jeff

      Hi Jeff,
Nice to hear from you and Happy New Year! Thank you for the kind words 🙂 I would say in general Keith Jarrett is very influenced by Bill Evans and in some ways the Keith Jarrett Trio is an extension of what the Bill Evans Trio was. Bill Evans is a huge influence for me too and I can easily say he is my hero! I love his version of Danny Boy also. Hope to see you and Cindy again soon!
