Yoko Miwa at the 2018 Litchfield Jazz Fesival

The Yoko Miwa Trio had an incredible time performing at the 2018 Litchfield Jazz Festival and we were honored to be so well received! Here are a few photos from the fest. One of the photos was from visiting Downbeat Magazine’s booth at the festival. What an amazing weekend! Such a thrill to perform in the Festival and then get to enjoy so many other great performances. The legendary Jimmy Cobb (yes, the drummer who played on Miles Davis’s Kind of Blue album) was still taking the stage at 89 years old. And 12-year-old Brandon Goldberg played too, so I’d say jazz is for all ages! One highlight was getting to meet the members of Trio da Paz, who are 3 of the living legacies of Brazilian music. I’m always surprised to meet new fans who already own my CDs, but most surprising were my fans who made the trek from Boston! You are the best! — Yoko

Yoko dominates the world. You should open up a jazz club in Connecticut halfway between NYC and Boston and get your fans from both places to meet in the middle. Call it the “Blue Moon” or “Keyboards”
