Yoko tops the charts – #1 in jazz radio airplay!

WE DID IT!!! “Songs of Joy” is #1 on the JazzWeek radio chart! I’m overwhelmed with JOY and such gratitude for my amazing team who helped us to reach this milestone. First, I have to thank my manager Laura Hess Hay Jamal who not only convinced me to release this album but also came up with the title. My hero Ahmad Jamal gave me words of encouragement and his belief in me as an artist is nothing short of a dream come true! I’m so grateful that Laura connected me with the amazing Martin Hummel and his label Ubuntu Music who gave me so much support during this uncertain time. Then there’s my longtime publicist Ann Braithwaite, words cannot express my appreciation for her incredible work. The woman behind the curtain, Jay Tee is no small part of this achievement! Not only is she my biggest fan but she has worked tirelessly on this project and I couldn’t have done it without her. HUGE thanks to the best radio promoter in the world, Mark Elf! Thank you to Bonnie Barrett and the whole crew at Yamaha Pianos. Can’t forget my UK publicist Rupert Burley for spreading the word across the pond and Dave Habeeb for the awesome videography.
